There are two options that you can choose from in the case that you want to settle your finances in this way. You an either reach an agreement with your spouse and then invite the court to make an order endorsing that agreement, or you can offer all the facts to the court so that it can decide an order for you. This second option is usually used in cases of disagreement between the two parties.
